Nutrient Deficiencies

I’m Jody King Colegrove with Quantum Techniques. Today, I want to discuss nutrient deficiency. There are seven nutrients that many people are lacking. The first one is iron. It is a necessary component in the hemoglobin in blood, which transports oxygen to the lungs and circulatory system. Note that if we have too much iron, it can create cancer and also heart disease.

The second one vitamin E, which we can obtain naturally through eating things like avocados, broccoli and almonds. They have antioxidants, which helps to boost the immune system. They are an ambassador and a translator to the cells, helping them to communicate effectively to one another. That’s why they’re very important.

The third common nutrient deficiency is vitamin A, which is essential for healthy skin, teeth, bones, and vision. It also increases the integrity of our cell membranes. Beta carotene, which is a precursor to vitamin A, is found in fruits and vegetables, as well as multivitamins. Vitamin A is particularly important for the digestive track and the gallbladder, Not having enough vitamin A is a leading cause of blindness.

The fourth one is vitamin D, which helps with breast cancer prevention, is useful for those with Alzheimer’s, and supports the the immune system. Additionally, if we don’t have sufficient levels of vitamin D then our bodies cannot process other vitamins, particularly absorption of vitamins A and K, as well as calcium.

Number five is magnesium, which helps with nerve and muscle function, genetic synthesis, energy production and balancing, absorption of other key nutrients like vitamin C and iodine, hormone health, the quality of sleep, and the protection from heavy metals like mercury and aluminum.

The sixth one is vitamin C. We’ve all heard that if we want to boost our immune system to take vitamin C. It also helps with the cardiovascular system and the absorption of iron in our food. It’s an antioxidant, and it helps in the formation of collagen and wound healing.

The seventh and final common nutrient deficiency is vitamin B12, which helps our nervous system and brain health. When we are deficient in B12, it can lead to depression, mental disorders, loss of sense of smell and taste, and also cognitive decline, anemia, neuropathy in the hands and the feet, and cardiovascular issues. Other common deficiencies within the vitamin B-complex occur with vitamin B1, B2, and B6.

How do I get a healthy diet? How do I get these nutrients back into my system and why did I lose them in the first place? Things like poor soil, contamination in the soil and the water, and genetically-modified foods can play a role. When our bodies cannot absorb nutrients it’s called malabsorption. It can be caused by a genetic disposition, whereby the body doesn’t have enzymes to digest the nutrients, which can be caused by toxins in our environment. There can be issues with methylation from GMOs or glyphosate as they change the way our bodies process the product – the enzyme that helps methylation is lost.

There can also be issues with detoxification pathways and the imbalance within the digestion track itself can cause malabsorption. This can be expressed in our genes with lifestyle, diet, stress levels, exercise levels, hydration levels, and the quality of our supplements. The way our gut is balanced is very important, so we need good gut flora and microbiome.

You can discover your deficient levels with blood, saliva and urine tests. The benefit of Quantum Techniques is that you can find these deficiencies by self-testing or via a practitioner session, in addition to telling you how much of each nutrient that you need to have, and what was causing the deficiency in the first place. We can also check your system to find out if there’s a toxin causing a certain system to not function correctly and how to put it back on line.

Symptoms or red flags that may be letting you know that you are nutrient deficient include hair loss, ridges on your nails, dark circles under your eyes, skin rashes, persistent acne, periodontal disease, needing lots of dental work, sores inside your mouth, tingling sensations in your extremities, brain fog or other cognitive dysfunction such as memory loss, loss of sexual drive/libido, depression or lethargy, and ongoing fatigue.

It’s important that when you do use supplements that you choose those with the most benefit – you want to ensure that they don’t contain toxins, heavy metals or pesticides. Using QT can accomplish this important task very efficiently, to help you get the best value for your money. If this topic interests you, visit us at quantumtechniques.com and complete a session request form and we can start working with you to discover your deficiencies and what you can do about it to get back on track. Blessings from Quantum Techniques!
