The Diabetes Code: Prevent and Cure Type 2 Diabetes

My name is Dr. Stephen Daniel, the co-founder of One of the things that we like to do is bring you new developments in healing. There’s a great book called The Diabetes Code written by Dr. Jason Fung, and it’s about how to prevent and reverse type 2 diabetes naturally. It’s wonderful to see a physician break from their pharmaceutical and medical school training and say, “Somebody can improve their health by changing their lifestyle; not by simply buying and using more expensive drugs.”

Dr. Fung does a great job of showing how current dietary recommendations of high carb, low-fat diets are very toxic. The underpinnings of this disease process are that we simply have too much sugar in our diet. On top of that, almost all diabetes medication, while it may reduce blood sugar levels, it won’t do anything to reduce issues related to type 2 diabetes in terms of the incidence of heart disease, kidney disease, neuropathy and visual fields. He essentially says that the whole approach to type 2 diabetes from a conventional medicine standpoint is a complete failure, but that it is also completely reversible.

The doctor advocates a diet high in healthy fats, low in carbs, with medium protein levels. If you intake too much protein, it’s converted to glucose. After conducting much research, he also highly recommends fasting. There are two kinds of fasts – one is a 24 to 36-hour fast. Eat dinner on Friday night, don’t eat anything on Saturday, and then eat breakfast on Sunday morning. He advocates doing it once a week. The other type of fast Dr. Fung recommends is for five days each week, conducting a 15 hour fast. This basically means eating dinner at 5:00 PM and not eating breakfast until 8:00 the next morning. I am not finished with this book yet, so once I complete it I’m sure that there will be other useful things to share.

Reviewing Quantum Techniques within the perspective of this book, we look at things like what is blocking cell surface receptors from being able to transfer across the cell walls. This reminded me of a study I read about years ago that surmised if someone is put on an antidepressant, even for only a 2 week trial, they’re something like three or four times more likely to develop diabetes later in life. I thought, wait a minute; it’s not like if you’re on Prozac or Zoloft, or whatever the drug might be, for two weeks, that 25 years later you’re obese and developing diabetes because of it. No, what’s happening is that the drug is blocking cell surface receptors. So I checked it on myself and found that when I looked at the level of glucose across the cell wall, there were three antidepressants that I had tried 30 years ago to prevent migraines, and they were still blocking that glucose. So I cleared those antidepressants. Once I did this, I noticed that I slept dramatically better, more so than I have in my entire life. In this system, we understand that insomnia is actually a glucose level across the cell wall. For me, just clearing the antidepressants that were blocking the correct level of glucose from within the cell, made a dramatic difference in my sleep field.

If you’re interested in type 2 pre-diabetic conditions, please read The Diabetes Code. This condition is epidemic in America, and it leads to heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and many other things. In places like Hawaii, where lifestyle choices include eating lots of white rice and sugar, we see a high incidence of kidney disease. It is critical to change your life today. The good news is that you can take control and heal yourself, as type 2 diabetes is 100% preventable and reversible if you change what you’re eating and when you’re eating it. Blessings of health from Quantum Techniques.
